Why this work matters
Every company has a cap table: the record of who owns what. For most, it still lives in spreadsheets, PDFs, and disconnected vendor tools that were never meant to talk to each other. Fairmint is an SEC-registered transfer agent rebuilding that record as programmable book-entry onchain, so issuing shares, granting equity, and transferring ownership become fast, auditable, and compliant by default.
What you'd be part of
We build the Open Cap Table Protocol, an onchain implementation of the industry's Open Cap Table Format (OCF), and the products that run on top of it. The work sits where securities regulation, distributed systems, and product design overlap. The surface area is wide and the problems are concrete, so there's room to own real parts of the stack instead of a narrow slice of someone else's.
How we work
We're a small team, so the work you ship is visible and the decisions you make carry weight. Correctness matters here in a way it doesn't everywhere: when you are the official record of someone's ownership, the details are the product. If you want to build in a regulated space where the standards are real and the work changes how equity actually moves, you'll fit in well.
